Health, Safety and Environment
- LNG is safer than LPG, and in its liquid form it is intrinsically safer than natural gas in gas form. Our approach is “practical and simple” without compromising safety
- Detailed met-ocean, bathymetry studies for each locations we operate, we also conduct mooring and compatibility studies with leading operators of the LNG shipping industry
- Hazid/hazop and QRA done for most of our critical operations
- Vetted by SLNG and SCDF (Singapore Civil Defense Force) to fill LNG containers from SLNG and truck on Singapore roads
- We have industry professionals and certified operators with extensive work experience for STS and terminal operations
Environmental, Social and Governance
- LNG is cheaper, more environmentally friendly and safer than alternative liquid fuel such as LPG and diesel. LNG replaces coal for environmental reasons whilst LPG-to-LNG (gas-to-gas conversion) or diesel-to-LNG (oil-to-gas conversion) switching have the additional benefit of generally reduce consumption and unit cost. Compared to other fossil fuels, LNG emits 30% less CO2, 70% less sulphur dioxide (Sox) and 95% less nitrogen oxides (NOx); Natural gas consumption virtually emit no particulate matter, the harmful microscopic component of air pollution that penetrates deeply into the lungs
- LNG Easy will endeavour to conduct our operations in a carbon neutral fashion, paying close attention to BOG; We will develop methodology with the leading consulting firms to develop carbon credit schemes throughout the value-chain that we operate
- Distributed power generation using LNG for CHP and CCHP for industrial customers increases efficiency from 30+% to 85+%
- Retail LNG brings a lot of employment to the community (drivers, O+M people for regas /storage facilities, operators for city gas distribution networks). It is great for blue collar employment for the hose country
- Retail LNG invests regas facilities with each and every final customer which represents commitment and investment into each markets, compared to centralised regas solution such as FSRU
- LNG Easy is researching the best possible ways to marry small scale LNG (a transitional fuel) to renewables. We believe small scale LNG-to-power can resolve the intermittency issue of renewables by bundling. The bundled approach can provide the stability the grid needs and so renewable can make it into the baseload of any electricity network
